Reliable test methods for extreme operating conditions

This presentation demonstrates how test methods bridge the gap between laboratory research and real industrial applications. By combining standardized testing with unique, application-oriented setups, we evaluate materials’ properties more realistically. Testing under extreme conditions (up to 1600 °C and controlled CO or H₂ atmospheres) provides valuable insights into raw materials and ceramic systems. We demonstrate how testing strategy can help raw material traders and refractory or ceramic producers to reduce development risk, shorten time-to-market and validate their product’s performance prior to customer trials. The presentation shows how reliable testing under designed conditions can support better material selection and stronger commercial outcomes.
