New brand image impresses: ceramitec wins Red Dot Award

November 18, 2025

New design, clear message: When ceramitec opens its doors at the exhibition center in Munich from March 24 to 26, 2026, it will be presenting itself with an award-winning brand image. The leading international trade fair for the ceramics industry received the Red Dot Award for the new brand strategy it developed in 2024—proof of the successful bridge between tradition and modernity.

Brand strategy with vision

ceramitec’s new brand identity places the focus on ceramics as a material and highlights its central role in numerous industries of the future. It is the only trade fair in the world to cover the entire spectrum: from traditional ceramics to refractory technology and high-performance ceramics. Through this enhancement, the trade fair aims to focus not only on the established ceramics industry, but to increasingly address user industries such as mechanical engineering, medical technology, the automotive industry, aerospace, the electronics industry, the renewable energy sector, and the consumer goods industry.

New image, new perspectives

“Thanks to this brand strategy, ceramitec is undergoing a realignment that we want to use to specifically tap into new user industries and at the same time become more attractive to young talent. The focus is clearly on ceramics as a material with all its possibilities,” says Maritta Lepp, Exhibition Director of ceramitec.

The positive response from industry and business shows that this approach strikes a chord with the industry. Ulf Frohneberg, STEULER-KCH GmbH, says: “The Red Dot Award underscores the fact that ceramitec is on the right track: traditional know-how meets progressive staging. The ceramics and refractory industry is not only presented in an innovative way, but is also attractive to young talent.”

Dr. Alexander Risch, COO of Nabaltec AG, adds: “The marketing strategy honored with the Red Dot Award shows that innovation and tradition can go hand in hand. ceramitec is thus sending a strong signal to the entire industry: Traditional ceramics boldly meets new, innovative applications.”

And Norbert Gall, Head of Marketing & PR at Lithoz GmbH, puts it in a nutshell: “Winning the Red Dot Award for ceramitec’s new brand strategy means much more to us than just the result of consistent branding and brand development. In fact, the new image perfectly translates the innovative power and character of ceramics into the digital communication age. With this award-winning brand image, Messe München will not only sustainably position ceramitec as the world’s leading industrial trade fair for ceramics, but also win over important new visitor target groups.”
